Oakway Academy celebrate 50 Years!

Ex staff and pupils came together in October 2019 to celebrate 50 years of Oakway Academy!  Pupils who were the first to join the school came along to celebrate with a display of photographs across the school’s history and also to reminisce with old friends.  Pupils were pleased to see that the May Day tradition is still carried on with pupils still learning country dancing and dancing around the May pole. Visitors were invited to share their memories from their school days which are now on display within the school’s main square.

Later this year they will be continuing celebrations with ‘Oakfest’, with the current pupils celebrating the 50 years of the school.
